Note: Our panels are made from real wood veneer finishes. Our aim is to always offer the cleanest veneer possible on our panels, however knots, slight cracks and colour differences may be present due to the nature of the material used.
Create a ‘shadow of style’ unique space in your home, office, garden room or any other internal area in hours with The Wood Wall Panel Co.’s range of acoustic slat wall panels following our easy to follow installation guide.
Before you start installation
• Measure the area the panels are to be installed and decide on the layout and design.
• Ensure enough panels are purchased to cover – due to the natural wood veneer of the panels, colour variations amongst batches may be noticeable.
• Remove any screws, nails or other fixings, fill any holes and sand down to give a smooth surface.
• Ensure the installation surface is clean of any dirt or debris using a damp cloth. Allow the area to dry thoroughly.
Benefits of purchasing and installing these PREMIUM panels
• Highest grade 100% recycled PET Felt used in the manufacture of the panels gives a strong dense backing to the boards which will keep its shape and colour for many years;
• The use of the highest grade PET felt gives added acoustic benefits with the panels achieving Class A Sound Absorption in laboratory tests when installed using timber battens and rockwool cavity wall insulation;
• Dense MDF solid core slats give added durability and strength;
• Manufactured using 100% sustainably sourced materials;
• Real wood veneer finish;
• The process of manufacture and the use of a large number of high quality securing pins ensures that the panels stay together when cutting and installing – if a slat should become loose, simply lay the panel on a clean, soft surface and, using a staple gun and a minimum of 12mm staples, secure in place;
• 4 year limited guarantee – life expectancy of the panels when installed and maintained as advised up to 20 years;
• Slats can be oiled, varnished or painted to suit changing tastes and requirements and for added protection if desired;
• Easy to install card-slot design meaning spacing between the slats is always the same and gives a perfect finished look;
• Can be installed directly onto a hard surface using a CT1 adhesive or screw-fixed to timber battens, with or without 50mm rockwool cavity wall insulation depending on thermal and acoustic requirements;
• Easy to cut using a fine bladed handsaw or fine-toothed circular saw;
• Easy to cut to allow for existing sockets etc. using a fine toothed jigsaw blade;
• Easy to clean and maintain – for general maintenance the use of an anti-static duster and/or soft brush attachment on a hoover is recommended. Never use abrasive or chemical cleaners. If the wood veneer should sustain marking from everyday substances such
as tea, coffee, felt tip pens etc. clean using a damp soft cloth with a small amount of washing up detergent and warm water and carefully clean using a circular motion to remove the stain;
• To add pictures, mirrors etc. to the acoustic slat wall, secure by screw-fixing into the hard base surface, either directly into the surface wall or into installed battens, through the felt backing. It is recommended that suitable screws for the base surface be used and should be a minimum of 15mm to ensure secure fixing;
• Panels are individually shrink-wrapped to protect the felt backing and natural wood veneer;
• Cartons of 2 x panels are packed using a strong cardboard carton with extra strong cardboard corner protectors and 3mm felt insert to protect the face edges and corners of the panels.

Can I install Wood Wall Panels horizontally?
All our panels can be installed vertically or horizontally. Installation methods are the same either way – the only difference is which way the battens run if you are using this installation method.
Can I apply anything behind the Wood Wall Panels to improve soundproofing and insulation?
To improve acoustic and insulation performance of our panels, we recommend the use of battens for installation and the addition of a 45-50mm mineral wool insulation fitted within the cavity (see our installation instructions for full details).
Can I hide the edges of the Wood Wall Panels?
The panels have been engineered and manufactured to show an exposed edge as a design feature. Corner trims could be added if a different effect/finish is required.
What size are Wood Wall Panels?
Our Wood Wall Panels are 2400mm in length and 600mm in width with a PET felt backing of 9mm depth and slats of 12mm giving an overall depth of 21mm. Each panel covers 1.44m2.
Can I install Wood Wall Panels around plug sockets, windows and other obstacles?
Our Wood Wall Panels are very versatile and easy to install. We recommend the use of an electric jigsaw with a small-toothed blade to make intricate cuts within the panel.
Can Wood Wall Panels be installed in a bathroom?
As our Wood Wall Panels are made using MDF and wood veneer, they are not waterproof or moisture resistant. We do not advise the use of the panels in high moisture environments as they may suffer damage over time.
